Technology Stuff...

In case you’re not familiar with blogs or blogging, here’s the short scoop. A blog, or Web Log, is an interactive website where text, graphics, stuff can be posted easily by one or many authors, and then “consumed” or read in a variety of different ways/formats. For example, you’re probably reading this article as a web page, having gone to a web address I or someone else gave you. This is only one of the methods available for reading blog content.

Another very popular method of reading blogs is through software/services called “news aggregators”. A news aggregator is a means of collecting information from weblogs and other online properties and then presenting them in an article/news/e-mail format. One of the most popular news aggregators is called NewsGator. its free, and if you haven’t tried it, you should. They have a very cool Microsoft Outlook-based version (which is not free, but I think there's a free trial), in case you live in Outlook all day like me.

Once you have your news aggregator up and running you’ll want to know the RSS or newsfeed address for this blog. That’s http://feeds.feedburner.com/MTLI2005. Of course, you’re welcome to return to http://mtli.blogspot.com/ and read stuff this way, too!
